MESHBATCH STUDIO

Compatibility and limits

Last reviewed 15 October 2026. MeshBatch exports mesh geometry. It is not a full 3MF conformance validator, mesh repair service or slicer.

Supported workflow

What does not transfer

STL cannot store 3MF colours, materials, textures, printer profiles, support settings or object metadata. A merged export flattens objects into one triangle mesh. A delivery export keeps each printable build item in its own STL, including its component placement. Disconnected shells inside a build item are not automatically split.

Limits and rejected inputs

Each workspace accepts up to 10 files of 25 MiB each and 1,000,000 triangles in total. Each model is limited to 500,000 triangles. The parser also limits expanded ZIP size, recursion, resource counts and output size. Encrypted packages, XML entity declarations, unsafe paths, external links, malformed meshes, cycles and unsupported required geometry extensions are rejected.

Toolpath, beam lattice, boolean and volumetric geometry are not converted. A mesh preview is not proof of watertightness or printability. Colour-only extensions may be ignored with an explicit warning.

Before printing

  1. Keep the original 3MF.
  2. Check the exported dimensions against a known measurement.
  3. Import STL as millimetres in your target slicer.
  4. Review the number and placement of objects, supports, materials and layer preview.
